Mary started her career in the banking sector as a teller of a government bank (Landbank of the Philippines) and worked her way up to become an Internal Auditor. Later, she moved to an offshore bank of the biggest financial institution in Malaysia, Maybank, to manage the bank's credit risks. In 2007 she decided to migrate to Canada.
Former Risk Analyst/Auditor under the Jim Pattison Group, conducting field audits of supermarkets and pharmacies in around Western Canada.
Former Micro-Loans Consultant and the first Program Advisor for the Canadian Immigration Integration Project (CIIP) of BC.
Former Work Placement Facilitator under a federal funded program, to help the multi-barrier youth clients find employment

Mary gets her motivation and joy in volunteering with the Parent Support Society of BC, the church and the community. Mary loves outdoors, going to new places, trying authentic dishes and meeting people from various walks of life. Having 4 seasons, amazing landscape, and diversity are great reasons why she remains to live in Vancouver.
